School has Started and the Hunt is on!

So School has started again. Not so sure how we feel about it, it is good to be back on a schedule but where did the summer go?
Harlee is now in 7th grade, Kodee in 3rd and Oaklee in 1st. Bubby is just at home with me. He isn't to thrilled at just staying home this year. It will be good though lots of fun we can have just us two.
We decided not to do anymore stock shows for the remainder of this year. Too much going on. Kodee and Harlee have started Volleyball and are having fun. Josh and I are just about done with our Co-Ed softball and onto hunting we go. We drew out for Antelope in Wyoming again and can't wait, we have spotted out a couple of nice bucks-we will see who will get the bigger one this year. Then Harlee has drew out for a chucker hunt and is excited about that. We all have spike elk bookcliff tags this year and it will be awesome to see what we can get. It will be good to go out and see what Harlee can do being it her first year of big game hunting. Can't wait. I am sure that we will update on all our Hunts as the season goes on.

Yellowstone- And Stuff!

So we have been pretty busy lately with Stock Show, Softball practices, Softball games, T-Ball games Pre-school Graduation, Kindergarten Graduation and Vacationing. I have not had alot of time to even check e-mails and T.V. barely getting by on sleep but that's how we roll. I guess. Well so after we did the whole school thing and they were finished, we headed right into the Vernal Stock Show. It went well, Harlee could have done better but this year I guess she wasn't feeling it. She ended up taken 5Th in Showmanship with her Lamb. Like I said she could have done better but there is always another one. She will be taking a lamb to the Duchesne County Fair and then to State Fair. We may even take the long trip back up to Billings Montana to the NILE show they have up there. So we have about a month and a half before the next one. They are so much fun and the kids do love it. I just can't wait for Kodee to start showing this coming year, she can't wait any longer. The sale went well, Grandpa Dave and Grandma Linda and Grandpa Bill bought Harlee's hog. Thanks a bunch guys- for all of your support. I bought our very first 2 steers. We brought them home to feed for about a month to finish them off before we take them to the butcher. It's kinda sad though, I kinda like them. We bought them from the neighbor kids during the sale. I am glad that we can support some of the kids around here, we know how much work they put into these animals to have them go to market. Well Harlee's Softball team hasn't won a game but it doesn't mean that they suck! We keep getting tied at each game and we are visiting and the other team scores a run. IT SUCKS! Harlee has been in a hitting slump this year but has finally started to make contact with the ball these past few games. She has always been a good ball player but she kinda lost it for a while. Kodee's team on the other hand has done extremely well this year we have only lost one game and placed 2ND in league and Kodee has also found her groove in batting. She loves it- and she has a bad temper when she misses the ball. It's all good but when she starts throwing her bats and helmets it is NOT so good. Trying to teach her to be competitive and still have good sportsmanship is really hard. Tournaments for both girls start next week- ALL WEEK. So after all of that last Thursday night Josh called me during one of our late games, he was home feeding and doing chores, and said "Hey lets just go to Dubois tomorrow okay?" I said, okay. so we woke up the next morning and took off to Dubois Wyoming. For those of you who don't know Josh lived there from 6Th to 10Th grade, Then back to Vernal. I have been there a couple of times before and it is beautiful. Josh has alot of Good friends that are like his real family- at least they treat him like he is there own. Just good people. Well while we were there it rained, it snowed, and it was cold. Like 31 DEGREES cold in JUNE. We went up to Whiskey Mountain and it still is Pretty even in the 2" snow that they got that night. The sun came out for a bit and it was all good. So we decided Monday morning that we would go through Yellowstone Since I have never been there. It was awesome the kids loved it! We saw 2 real life wild Grizzly bears running around it was neat. Lots of Buffalo/Bison and lots of Elk. We went to Old Faithful and Mammoth Hot Springs, Both beautiful! In very different ways. I won't forget. Very Big- the country there is amazing- so pretty. Every where you look there is something that just touches you. I can't believe what a beautiful world we live live in. I mean just so amazing! If you have not been just take off like we did and do it! You wont regret it. So that was our quick little get away vacation. Unplanned and just fly off the handle kind of vacation we needed. So back to work and life as we know it! Pics I assume will be probably all mixed up so they range from School Grads to Yellowstone every thing in between. Thanks to all for your support and love. LOVE YA!

Not alot going on???

Well I haven't really had anything to really post. It is our busy time of year though. Softball has started. I am helping coach Harlee's 12 and under team and Kodee's 8 and under team. Oaklee hasn't started T-Ball yet but I think it is starting this next week. So as of right now I have practices and games every day of the week. On top of this stock show is just a month away, the pigs are looking good, are ready for walking and Harlee's Lamb that we bought from the Crego's, is really nice- we will just have to see how the Judge likes him. Lambing season is finished and Harlee and Josh have some good prospects for the up coming Shows. They were just born a little late for the Vernal show. Kohlton has learned to ride his bike without training wheels and it is kinda scary. He goes fast- or should I say "super Fast" according to him. He just keeps on peddling at full speed. If he crashes he usually gets up- gives the 2 thumbs up and says "that was awesome". He is super silly. Well I have some pics to download but haven't yet so I will do that...sometime soon. Hope all is well with Family and Friends! Love ya.

Harlee turns 12!

So my little Harlee Jo is now 12. I can not believe the time has gone by so fast. It makes me so sad. Harlee has turned out to be so pleasant and fun loving. Josh and I have been blessed with such a sweet daughter. Well she wanted to have some friends over after school on Friday and hang out until the movies started. They had fun. I double-dog dared them to do their hair 80's style and go to the movies, they actually accepted the dare and did it. I loved it. So here are some pics of her birthday. Oh and we got her a dirt bike and she absolutely loves it. She has asked for one for the last 5 years. So there are some pics and video of that too.

Valentines Day!

We had a blast this weekend. We went out to the city and it was great. On Saturday Josh and Kohlton went to the MONSTER TRUCKS!!!! They had a good time and now Kohlton wants to go every-day. While the boys were at the MONSTER TRUCKS, the girls and I went shopping. It was fun I really did enjoy the time that I got to spend with the girls. We shopped and shopped until they wanted to go back to the hotel. I said it was only 9 o'clock and you guys want to go back? They said YESSSS please. So we ended our shopping spree and went back to the hotel and sat in the hot tub until the boys got back. It was great to just sit back and not really worry about anything - it was kinda like our small vacation, I just wished it had been somewhere warmer. But, you take what you get right? Happy Valentines Day Everyone! We are blessed with the love we have from our friends, neighbors and family.

Even the Refs and the Scorekeepers were clapping because Lapoint won Uintah River - they said it was by far the best game we have ever played. Right On! It sure does feel good- after what 3 years of playing them we won by points and not just forfeit. Oh man I am Pumped. Bring on next week when we play them agian. Man I Loved it. Okay I will stop now. But did I say we won?

Dad- You're my Hero

Okay- so my Dad is my Hero, He has shown me with hard work and desire your dreams can come true. In August my Dad got to release the first buffalo back into the Bookcliffs -a life long dream in his profession and personal life. Well we couldn't be there for the first release and we couldn't be there for the second release which happened today, the roads out to the part of the Bookcliffs where they release them are too slick with mud and snow and I didn't think Josh would appreciate me trying to chain up the dually by myself. I would have ripped something up, and not just the road either. We did however catch up with my Dad on the side of the road so the kids could take a peek of the smaller buffalo that were being released today. These kind of experiences do something to my heart- to watch my kids experience some-what of what I grew up with, like from raising deer, antelope, elk and to go see the sleeping bear as it was waiting to get transported somewhere, or the release of the Mountain Goats in the High Unitas's. I just love to watch the kids' faces as they see these things happening and to have them know that their Grandpa had a major part in it. Just to see their Grandpa on the evening news is a big event at our house. They are all screaming and laughing and yelling there's Grandpa Mom- there's Grandpa Mom! Makes me melt. I am so Proud of my Dad and the things he has accomplished in his life professionally and spiritually. Thanks Dad for letting us take part in your dreams and in history!

We didn't win :(

Okay so we didn't win- big deal! Well it is to me- man we tried really hard and they came on strong in the second half not letting us get under the basket, pushing us out to the three point line where the majority of us can't make a three point consistently. Oh well we will play them again here in a few weeks- oh and to make it even worse our new tallest person popped her knee cap out during the first half of the game, so we were really at a disadvantage. But Angie is all better and ready to practice tomorrow night and play the game on Friday! Good luck Lapoint--- Go Team!

Happy New Year!

Well it is the first blog of the new year and it isn't anything special. We hope you all had a great Christmas and a wonderful new year. My New year Resolution is "It's all about time in 2009" I know, I know but it has to rhyme right???
Well I do want to spend more time with family and friends this year and getting to know everyone better. It always seems like I am running out of time when I am doing something. I want to spend more time just hanging out with the fam and friends not worrying about all the crap I have to get done, there is always tomarrow to do the laundry and the floors right? But you can always turn cleaning day into fun. My trick to get the floors mopped is to get a bucket of soapy water and let the kids get their softball socks on and dip there feet into the soapy water and go sliding around on the floor it works well and you just go behind them and wipe up the rest pretty easy and fun for the kids they love it. My other New Year Reso. is to finish my food storage. The stuff like laundry soap, bar soap, tooth paste, shampoo, you name it I need it.

We had a wonderful Christmas and Josh made it home for Christmas and is still here hasn't gone back to work yet... I hope he doesn't have to go too soon. Tomarrow is the Big football game between Utah and Alabama.
GO UTAH! Hope they do well.

Women's Church basketball is ready to start and our first game is next Friday- I really think we will win at least 1 game this year. We have been practicing hard once a week for the past 2 months. Our first game is agianst the other ward in our church house Uintah River.... They are our rivalery. They WILL go down this year we have one tall person this year. Our team average height is 5'5" pretty sad but we have a new member and she is tall! Well I will let you know how we do after our game. Go Lapoint!

A Wonderful Weekend

K so I am feeling really upset- this weekend the kids and I went out to Darcey's and Abbey's for the weekend and had a really great time it was good to be with them and their families. We started out Saturday morning at Kangaroo Zoo for my brother Wyatt's little girl Brooklyn's birthday. This place is great because the kids can run around and be crazy and jump on everything there- Well I forgot the camera and that is why I am so upset the whole weekend I kept saying to myself that I couldn't believe I forgot the camera. I love to capture the moments that when we are all together, it doesn't happen as much as I would like. But oh well I have it in my memory right??? Well then we went to Darcey's for cake and just hung out for a while. I wished I had my camera, the three older boys were outside playing and as I was watching them they were throwing the football to each other (even though they wouldn't catch it) they would take off after it where ever it would go and tackle the first one who got it. It was so cute and totally just the boys being boys. They are only three and it amazes me that they just know how to play. I loved it. That night My girls and I went to Alyssa's performance in It's a wonderful life. It was really good the whole show was so good. I was expecting it to be more theater like... like a play I guess and was so shocked to see that it was very well directed as a ballet. I am so very proud of the things Lyssie can do- Josh always says what a very talented girl she is and how smart she is. I couldn't agree more. It was a great way to end the day. Sunday was blessing day for baby Bram. He has changed so much since the last time I had seen him, but he still has those cute little cabbage patch cheeks. I can't get enough of them. So cute. The Blessing was great and so were the testimony's of those who bore them, they hit me so full of spirit that I felt as if I knew them. We then went to Ab's and had soup and scones, it was great and we had dessert, lots of dessert. The baby food carrot cake was awesome. We sat there with some of our old friends and talked and thought of the old days and had a great time. I just wished Josh could have been there. I always fell so bad when he cant come because of work I never feel whole when he is gone. All in all the kids had fun and I had a great time wished I could have done some more shopping even though I really don't need to, I still would have liked to have gone. Well if anyone gets me some pics I will post them. It was a great time.
I am very blessed that I have the family I have. Very very blessed, I just love the kids so much.
Earlier in the day on Sunday Abbey had asked me my thoughts on a enrichment night that they are going to have, they had asked her to say something on Christmas and she really didn't know what to say or what they were wanting her to say. On the way home I thought about this and I thought really hard. I love Christmas and the holiday spirit, and I have felt that it has slipped away from me a little. Then the song "Where are you Christmas" by Faith Hill came on and I was over whelmed with the spirit and knew that I had to find Christmas and bring it back to me. I realized then that Christmas isn't a seasonal thing - it is a year round thing to me. It is about Christ and he should be there in our homes and hearts year round. I know that I have been caught up in the material gifts trying to find just the right gift for someone, and then I have to ask myself- what is it that you want?, and the best Christmas gift I could ever receive is a warm smile and a meaningful hug. Now if I could get my kids to agree that would be great. A lot less stress. Anyways last night I went to my Parents home to get Harlee, she had been helping them out with some chores in the house and I get there and my Dad and Har have the tree up and decorating it. Yes I know crazy I asked if Mom knew about it, and she did. It is two weeks before Christmas, and Mom hasn't gotten the tree up until the night before Christmas the last few years so I was surprised. It made me smile. Har had done a good job and decorated the whole tree up to where she could reach and even behind where know one could see. My first thought I had was to go and re-arrange a lot of them, but I didn't....okay so just a few. I left most all of it the way she had it. I realized it shouldn't matter the way the decor is on the tree, the look on Hars face said it all, she loved it and she did it. On the way home the kids were crazy as usual and they were pointing out Christmas lights and laughing. I realized I had found Christmas. It hadn't slipped away or it hadn't gone anywhere it was me. I hadn't brought it to the center of my life. I hope that one day they do find Christmas they way I see it and believe in it. I need them to believe in Hope, Miracles and Love. I know that is all I need along with Faith and PATIENCE.
Well enough is enough right. I do wish you a very Merry Christmas- and filled with lots of Love.

Disney on Ice!

So we had a blast last night! We went to Disney on Ice at the Energy Solution Arena in Salt Lake. We went with some friends of ours Jesica and Chad's Fam and Ryan and Jessica's Fam were there too. We had bought our tickets a few months ago and I had kinda forgot that we were going until last week, but anyways Bubby sat threw the whole thing only stood up like twice! I know it was amazing he loved it. I still can't believe he sat there the whole 2 hours. I bought the kids a snow cone in a Disney cup and popcorn and they were set not one complaint the whole time we were there. I absolutely loved it. Well the camera was acting all weird and the pictures came out blurry, it kept on saying I was recording but it wasn't even set to record. So Jes said she would get me some pics to post. She was only 2 seats away from me same view same angle everything so no one would know if they weren't mine right? Well Harlee said she wouldn't mind going again so it must not be too childish for her. Oaklee was amazed at Snow white, she was all giggly. Kodee would look at the pics in the program and then watch for the moves that were in the photos, she would tell me if there was anything that they messed up or didn't do. Kohlton at the end of the show was yelling down to "Woody" and "Buzz" to wave at him just smiling from ear to ear but I noticed he wasn't yelling "Woody" he was yelling BUDDY, look at me Buddy. I was about to cry he was so cute. I only wish Josh had been able to be there with us.
I will post pics when I get them.
